HW-RCS-AC-EV
AC current and residual current sensor for EV charging and industrial monitoring with a simple integration interface.
The HW-RCS-AC-EV is a Hawun AC current sensor for EV charging and industrial monitoring, measuring AC residual and load current and providing an output that a controller can read directly. It suits applications where AC current measurement is required for protection or monitoring, and where a Type B sensor is not needed because no DC fault current can appear. In an industrial system the sensor measures the load for monitoring, control and protection, and its accuracy and response time set how well the system protects itself. In an EV charger it provides the AC residual current protection that the simpler charging modes require. The sensor output feeds the controller, which compares it with the threshold and acts on a fault, so the interface and the response time must meet the application's requirement. The device is designed for integration into the charging or monitoring system. Every device is factory-traceable and ships with an import declaration, a certificate of origin and RoHS documentation. BeiLuo holds this part in regional stock and our FAE team supports sensor selection and integration.
FAE Professional Review
This is the AC current sensor we recommend for protection and monitoring where no DC fault current can appear. It is simpler than the Type B sensor and suits industrial monitoring and the simpler charging modes. Choose it when the application does not require DC detection, and choose the Type B sensor when it does. Confirm the range and the interface against the application.

Frequently Asked Questions
When can I use an AC sensor instead of Type B?
Use an AC sensor when the application cannot produce a DC fault current, such as a simple AC load or the simpler charging modes. Where a DC fault current can appear, a Type B sensor is required.
The application and the standard decide the choice.
What does the sensor measure?
It measures AC residual and load current, which supports protection and monitoring in charging and industrial systems.
Match the range and the interface to the application.
